The Koráb Theater is an independent professional theater whose permanent venue has been located in the U Tří knížat building on Jánská Street in Brno since 2021. The Koráb Theater’s repertoire focuses primarily on children, though the company also aims to reach adult audiences at its permanent venue, particularly through collaborations with other artists and organizations. The Koráb Theater’s permanent venue features intimate spaces in what were originally Gothic cellars dating from the 13th and 14th centuries. Performances thus benefit from an intimate atmosphere and direct contact between the actors and the audience. The theater’s programming focuses on its own adaptations of texts and original works.
