42+PEOPLE: Where

Contemporary dance company 420PEOPLE’s latest project, 42+PEOPLE, celebrates the intergenerational dialogue between dancers. It offers a unique yet intimate glimpse at the pinnacle of the dance career of 42+year-old performers. The first choreography of the project, “WHERE” by Václav Kuneš, which combined all aspects of contemporary dance, was premiered at Studio Maiselovka on November 19 th , 2022, featuring Helena Arenbergerová and Václav Kuneš.

In 2023, Arenbergerová received the Thalia Dance Award for her solo role in 42+PEOPLE: WHERE, the choreography of which she co-created together with Václav Kuneš. “Fascinating the audience with a perfectly mastered movement, the duet plays out the intimacy between the two in a purely personal dance statement, without cliches, without annotations. It creates an image full of elusive tension from the proximity of two strangers, through contemporary dance, which is a completely natural and perfect means of expression for Helena Arenbergerová.”
