Open Air

The festival programme will once again open with an outdoor site-specific production by the DNA junior ballet ensemble NdB 2 on the piazzetta of the Janáček Theatre. Then we will move to Moravské square, where we will offer you the opportunity to plunge into the waves of the theatre world on your way to or from work. You can start the morning with a special theatre yoga with the actors of the Brno Municipal Theatre. In the afternoon, the whole Moravské náměstí area will come alive with the unique Figurkov theatre playground from the workshop of the Brno Líšeň Puppet Theatre, where you can play one of the board games or logic puzzles for all ages with your children, friends or parents, or you can prepare your own puppet show. For the little ones there will be short fairy tales prepared by JAMU students from the Theatre and Education for the Deaf Studio every day, and in the evening the park space will be given over to dance and movement performances by foreign JAMU students and the NdB 2 Junior Ballet. In case of sunny weather we recommend to bring your swimsuit! At the end of the open air programme, the Visitors from the Deep Oceans – six-metre-long glowing puppets of marine animals from the underwater world – will float into the Zelný trh and the city centre.
