Association Internationale des Critiques Théatre (IATC-AICT)

The World Congress of the International Association of Theatre Critics / Association Internationale des Critiques Théatre (IATC-AICT) is organized by the International Cooperation Department of the IDU and the Czech Centre of the AICT in cooperation with the National Theatre Brno on the occasion of the international festival Theatre World Brno 2024. and on 23 May, the Thalia Prize will be awarded to Prof. Dr. Erika Fischer-Lichte for her lifetime contribution to the field of theatre studies. The Thalia Award will be presented on the opening day of the Theatre World Brno festival in the Reduta Theatre of the National Theatre Brno. Selected papers to be presented at the conference “Truth” in the Kafkaesque World (of Theatre). will subsequently be published in the online magazine Critical Stages / Scènes critiques in December 2024. The programme of the congress includes the organisation of a workshop for twenty young critics from all over the world.
