The Audition

This acrobatic show is as manifold as a CV can be fabricated. Losers Cirque Company are coming up with their brand new show – The Audition – and it’s the audience who decides the winner.
“We’ll call you back!” A sentence that each of us has heard at least once. Today, you’re going to hear it again. This time, they will undoubtedly call you back… provided that you make part of the selected candidates who—armed with their fine-tuned CVs—are just getting ready to fight for… for what? Does it even matter? The winner-to-be now has to conceal their true self, putting aside their principles and their self-respect in order to prove they’re the very best. Or at least fake it until they make it and overcome the rest. Succeeding in a game that lacks clear rules is far from being easy. Who is going to serve the jury the most impressive ‘cocktail’ of talent, pretence, and stiff elbows?
