A Midsummer Night’s Dream
This iconic comedy by William Shakespeare takes you straight to the wedding preparations of the Duke of Athens, Theseus, and the Queen of the Amazons, Hippolyta. But what can’t such a wedding do without? Without the bride, the groom, but also the wedding program and willing subjects who will take care of its preparation. On the eve of such a wedding, however, anything can happen, especially in the forest near Athens. This forest is a magical place, a world where fairies and elves awaken at night, as well as one restless Puck. The forest offers refuge to lost lovers, but it also weaves spells that have confused many a person with uncanny dreams and illusions.
