(ID)ENTITY

Balancing on the edge of (physical) theatre, ritual and the contrast between a dancer and a performer with Down syndrome, this production experiments with the perception of the audience member, who is a voyeur at times, while being observed at other times. Being herself at times, and at other times being someone else, or a part of a whole, a homogeneous entity. By means of play and images the spectator is brought to discern the contradiction between the desired and the real identity, the bodily and the mental identity, one’s own identity and the one assigned by society.
