A story of love, fellowship and fascism. In 1918, Sudeten Germans find themselves in a state where they didn’t choose to live. Who is going to save the sacred homeland from the Czech aggressor? The life of Heinz Rutha, an involuntary participant in the greatest homosexual scandal of the First Czechoslovak Republic, serves as the starting point for the scenic composition combining the elements of documentary and physical theatre. An intimate war diary, authentic police protocols, and historical political speeches mix with the present-day experience of the performers, revealing tensions between more recent and earlier conceptions upon which Rutha based his visions of an ideal community.
