We Come from Far, Far Away

Inside the tent there is a smaller tent, and inside the smaller tent there is a boy. He has travelled a long way, mostly on his own. He can show the things he has brought with him, he can tell the reasons for his journey, he can tell about the route he has taken but he can’t tell you where the story ends… The play, which retraces the journey of teenage refugees, was created in cooperation with the centre for asylum seekers in Asker, Norway, which receives unaccompanied foreign minors. The hardships that these teens have to overcome are often beyond our imagination. Still, as most young people, they are full of energy, life expectations and hope for a better future.
